In a bid to strengthen teaching and learning outcomes in public primary schools across Oyo State, the Germany-based education technology organisation, EIDU, has donated instructional materials in English and Mathematics to basic education learners.
The learning aids, specifically tailored for pupils in Primary 1 to Primary 3, are designed to provide robust support for classroom instruction and help young learners build formidable foundational skills in literacy and numeracy.
The formal flag-off ceremony took place on Friday at the Community Basic School, Ikolaba, Ibadan.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB), Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, lauded EIDU for its unwavering partnership with the state in advancing the course of basic education.
Dr. Adeniran noted that the timely intervention directly complements the Makinde administration’s unwavering commitment to delivering free, accessible, and qualitative education for every child in the state.
Recalling the organisation’s previous interventions, the OYOSUBEB boss pointed out that EIDU had earlier impacted the state’s education sector by rendering digital training for bothTeachers and learners.
EHe described the latest donation as another practical, result-oriented contribution toward elevating learning outcomes in public schools.
Target Audience: Pupils in Primary 1 through Primary 3 across public schools in the state.
Core Subjects: English Language and Mathematics.
Objective: To reinforce classroom lessons, equip teachers with useful resources, and make learning more interactive and engaging.
Expressing profound appreciation to the donor organisation, Dr. Adeniran stressed that symbiotic partnerships between government entities and development-oriented organisations remain vital to revamping the foundational education system.
He further assured that the Board will continually keep its doors open to innovative initiatives aimed at supporting teachers, expanding access to quality learning tools, and enriching the overall educational experience of public school pupils in Oyo State.
