President Bola Tinubu has charged Nigerians to keep faith in the country, maintaining that the nation remains firmly on course toward sustainable development, peace, and economic recovery.
The President delivered the message through the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Abbas Tajudeen, who stood in for him at a special prayer session commemorating Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary at the National Mosque in Abuja.
Speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the event, Tajudeen relayed the President’s message of reassurance, noting that while the nation has grappled with profound hurdles since independence, it has equally chalked up remarkable milestones.
He described the 66-year milestone as a testament to national growth and maturity, acknowledging past setbacks, challenges, and missed opportunities, but emphasizing resilience.
According to him, the core of the President’s message rests on civic optimism and steadfast commitment to national advancement, expressing confidence that current structural and socio-economic hurdles can be surmounted through collective resolve.
Tajudeen further appealed to citizens to maintain an optimistic outlook toward the future, stressing that restoring absolute peace and prosperity demands patience, national unity, and unwavering loyalty to democratic tenets.
