The chairman of the conference of the Speaker Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family in Oyo State on the successful opening and commissioning of the new State Secretariat, calling it a significant milestone that will bolster the party’s structure, unity, and administrative efficiency.
He made this statement during the commissioning of the PDP Secretariat in Ibadan, which was officiated by the Acting National Chairman, Dr. Kabiru Taminu Turaki (SAN).
Ogundoyin who doubles as the Speaker, Oyo state house of assembly while speaking at the program, lauded the state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for providing the party with befitting edifices, emphasizing that this gesture clearly reflects the Governor’s steadfast commitment to the growth, stability, and institutional development of the PDP in Oyo State and beyond.
Ogundoyin noted that the new Secretariat stands as a symbol of the PDP’s resilience and readiness to sustain its gains and face future political challenges with renewed confidence.
He further explained that the Secretariat will function as a central point for coordination, grassroots engagement, effective communication, and inclusive management of party affairs across the state.
Ogundoyin praised Governor Makinde for his visionary leadership and consistent advocacy for the PDP at both state and national levels, describing him as a reliable leader whose inclusive style and dedication to good governance continue to strengthen the party.
He also commended the state party leadership, elders, stakeholders, and members for their collective efforts and sacrifices, which led to the successful completion and commissioning of the Secretariat.
While recognizing the national challenges faced by the party, the Speaker expressed confidence that the PDP will emerge stronger adding that the Oyo State chapter remains committed to efforts to reposition the party through cohesion, discipline, and people-oriented governance.
