Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has gifted a brand-new Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon 500 to the President-General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Barrister Sulaimon Ajeniyi Ajewole, as a special birthday present.
Presented on behalf of the governor by Chief Babatunde Tijani (Double T), the luxury vehicle is a personal token of appreciation for Ajewole’s leadership, dedication to Ibadanland, and steadfast commitment to good governance.
An elated Ajewole expressed profound gratitude, describing Governor Makinde as his benefactor.
He also highlighted a major milestone achieved during his tenure: the collaboration with the state government to construct a world-class palace for the Olubadan of Ibadanland—an achievement that earned him the traditional title of Aare Atunluse of Ibadanland.
While emphasizing that the CCII remains a non-partisan organization focused solely on community development, Ajewole and other dignitaries commended the governor’s transformative governance.
The event drew several government functionaries, local government chairmen, commissioners, and traditional title holders, including Mogajis and the Oyo State ALGON Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Sanda.
