As part of activities marking its 25th anniversary, APIN Public Health Initiatives has extended a hand of fellowship to the less privileged, carrying out a special outreach to the Agbedare Jesus Care Foundation in Ibadan.
The visit, one of the 25 planned “Acts of Kindness” by the organisation, was aimed at supporting vulnerable children and individuals with disabilities, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to community welfare.
Speaking during the visit, the Oyo State Head of Office at APIN Public Health Initiatives, Dr. Folake Adurogbola, noted that reaching the milestone of 25 years called for a significant show of gratitude and service to society.
“A lot is happening in our society, and in our quest to celebrate our 25 years of existence, we set out to carry out 25 acts of kindness. We decided to celebrate with this particular home to show them that we care,” Dr. Adurogbola said.

Expressing deep emotion after the visit, Dr. Adurogbola lauded the dedication of the management of the home, which caters to 38 individuals ranging from age 5 to 40.
“I am more than inspired. It takes immense courage and passion for someone to bring children like this together—some cannot sit, some cannot walk, and some require constant medical attention. With the current economic realities, sustaining this requires great sacrifice. I am personally moved to continue supporting this home,” she stated.

On the role of the government in providing for the vulnerable, Dr. Adurogbola acknowledged the efforts of the state, while noting that there is still room for improvement.
“Government is trying, in all honesty, but there will always be room for improvement. They can do better,” she added.
In her response, the Founder and CEO of Agbedare Jesus Care Foundation, Beatrice Adenike, expressed profound gratitude for the visit, describing the intervention as overwhelming and timely.
“I am very happy and I appreciate this gesture. Many people in our society do not care about the plight of others, but you have chosen to remember us. As the Bible says, the poor will not cease from the land, and we are doing our best to provide care,” she said.

Mrs. Adenike prayed for the continued success of the organisation, adding, “There shall be showers of blessings upon your organisation. 25 years is just the starting point; you will celebrate 100 years.
