The Oyo State Government approved early office closures across all MDAs to enable public officers to participate in the 50th anniversary celebrations.
This directive was made available to newsmen in Ibadan in a press release signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the state Commissioner for Information
The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Musibau Adetunji Babatunde in the circular stated that all government offices must close by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
Governor Seyi Makinde approved the measure as part of the Oyo@50 jubilee preparations.
MDAs are instructed to comply and arrange skeletal services where needed. Babatunde emphasized widespread publicity to ensure awareness and compliance.
