The House of Representatives upon resuming from its four weeks break, has again cancelled its plenary activities to honour a deceased serving National Assembly Member, Senator Barinada Npigi from Rivers State, following a brief illness.
The Speaker, Abbas Tajuddeen who presided over the brief session, described his passing as a great loss to the Nation.
According to him, the deceased Member was a grassroot politician with interest of his constituents at heart, saying that his legacy would remain in the nation’s History.
Similarly speaker Abbas Tajudeen has described his late deputy chief of Staff Dr. Chamberlain Dunkwu from Delta state, as a dedicated and compassionate staff of the Parliament.
Reports have it, that Dr. Chamberlain passed last Saturday in his sleep after attending an iftar event with members of the green chamber on Friday.
