The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State has announced that it will commence the display of the preliminary register of voters for claims and objections across all 33 Local Government Area offices in the state.
According to a media release signed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Prof. Rahman Adeniran Tella, the exercise is in strict compliance with the commission’s timetable and schedule of activities leading up to the 2027 general election.
The display exercise is scheduled to run from Tuesday, August 4 to Monday, August 10, 2026, daily between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Prof. Tella explained that the exercise is designed to enable registered voters to verify their names on the voter register and check the accuracy of their personal and biometric details.
